You could crop out everything from this photo other than the chairs and you would instantly be able to tell that this was taken in the 80s. Though, it is rather humorous that fashion ahas sung around and made this look fashionable and somewhat indistinguishable from modern day.

It is always interesting when you can tell a photo’s age just by the things that are happening in it that would be illegal in this day and age. This might have been one of the last few times that motor vehicles were allowed on public beaches, and while it must have been a very freeing and fun feeling to drive unencumbered over the sands, we are glad this tradition has stayed firmly in the past.
